From Oil Paints to Pixels: The Battle Between Mediums
What will win?
A while back, I discovered an alluring book about character design, filled with mesmerizing images that sparked my desire to become an illustrator. My interest particularly kindled towards children's illustrations, however, I lacked the skill to create digital art. At that point, I thought drawing with conventional materials like oil paints or watercolors on paper would be my best option.
Fast forward to now, as I scroll through Pinterest admiring a plethora of digitally created characters, their eye-catching vibrancy and intensity leave me feeling a bit handicapped. I’ve realized that certain glow simply can't be replicated with traditional art supplies on paper.

I find myself stuck in a predicament, teetering on the edge of indecision. I'm struggling to figure out what should be my primary focus in art. Recently, I began exploring mixed media collages, incorporating elements painted with oil, and I'm inclined to proceed further on this path.
My aim is to establish a unique art style, creating pieces that captivate and intrigue audiences. However, my aspiration to illustrate delightful depictions of playful bears and penguins refuses to subside - an intriguing case of artistic dichotomy, wouldn't you concur?

The common axiom suggests mastering a skill requires concentrated focus, instead of scattering your attention in disarray. Yet, I find that tremendously challenging. This inability to stay focused appears to be sabotaging my success. Nonetheless, I hold on to the hope that someday, I could harmonize my diverse artistic inclinations and achieve satisfaction in all facets of my life.
